History And Magic

• History

  Through the sands of a storm a man can wander for many a day - in the desert, where the sand is thick and coarse, even the sun can be blotted out. In the darkness therein, a man can wander without direction until he drops dead, or finds shelter.
  
  It has been much a journey for Siyamak - from mastering his first spell, to wandering the deserts, the snows, and forests. Always looking for forbidden knowledge, always seeking lost secrets and spells long since un-uttered, he has accrued to himself a knowledge of magic so -vast- that the simplest of spells no longer even derive thought from him.
  
  For a thousand years it has been this way - a length of time so vast and immeasurable that trivial days have long since been forgotten, and only the most epic of events survive in his mind; trivialities are to be cast aside.

• Magic, Spells, and Abilities!

  For Siyamak to influence the world arround him is as deft as flicking a pen across paper, or licking ones lips. Blinking, even!
  
  His acquired knowledge of magic, and the ammount he has practised has made him into a remarkable, and truely formiddable caster. While his body may be frail, there is no telling as to just what he can do with his mind.
  
  Magic forms from Siyamak in the fluency and speed of a thought - he can cast a fireball as a reflex, or turn steel to cheese at a mere sneeze. It is only once the spells become quite a bit more complex that the Wizard truely begins to invest time - and therein lies his primary means of Profit.
  
  As a Wizard, his skill and craft are the dealings and sellings of magic; crafting a curse to last a thousand years, to keep the unfortunate soul alive but beyond help. A curse to make a collar electrocute an errant slave upon thoughts of escape.
  A curse to turn the most muscular of brutes and men into a weak little girl, terrified and alone in the world.
  
  These are the businesses and dabblings of Siyamaks magic; and each spell has its own unique price. Each item has a distinctive worth.

  I will try to balance Siyamak for any combat that is required, if the need should ever arrise. I am also trying to state in the above that Siyamak -sells- magic! I would love for people to "Comission" him to do spells and the like - they work so wonderfully as plot devices! INQUIRE WITHIN!

• Spells, Cantrips & Powers

  Spells and Cantrips that can be cast at will;
  These are spells, cantrips, and hexes that have been EXTENSIVELY practised by the Elf over several hundred years. To cast these is as easy as it is to think, or blink!
  
  Basic Polymoprhs-
  Siyamak has the power to change one living thing's body into the body of another; all thoughts, wills, and intentions remain the same. A violent guard becomes an angry Rabbit, that is still likely to bite and attack! - This is Siyamaks answer to combat. He doesn't like to kill things; as an Elf it is against everything that he loves and believes in to claim a life. It can also be a fun way to up the ante in certain activities.
  
  Invisibility -
  Siyamak can turn things invisible; simply, light will pass through them as though they had never been there. This can be cast on a person, a part of a person, or an object. Again, this is both to avoid combat, and so as to prank people! A bored old horndog as he is, the Wizard loves to play folly with people and see how bent out of shape they get! What a mean old trickster!
  
  Summon Object -
  If Siyamak remembers an object, or see's it and knows what it is, he can remember its nature; on a mere thought he can summon any number of objects that he might deem useful. Think of it as.... A Wizards Swiss Army Knife! Spoons, forks, tables, mallets, knives, potatos...
  
  Illuminate -
  Siyamak can cast a spell at will that produces a light bright enough or dim enough for whatever purpose he assigns as necessary at the time for the light. If he wants to watch an evening fight in an arena, he can light the whole place up. If he's reading a book in a cave full of vicious photosensetive spiders, well... It won't be as bright!
  
  Illusion - Any.
  Again, in his many attempts to avoid combat and to alter the nature of a conflict or a day or event, he has learned to fluently control the things that people percieve, and even the ability to construct a COMPLETE dreamworld in which people may roam and behave as they wish. This is also tied TIGHTLY in with his worship of the god MORPHEUS. The God of Dreams!!
  
  Alter Mood -
  A developing pattern here, Siyamak is really geared towards avoiding a fight rather than ending one quickly. He can alter the mood of anyone with the flick of a wrist. That isn't to say that he can make you forget something or remember something that never happened. You can turn from a murderous psychopath one moment to a high-as-a-kite chillfiend hippy the next; the point of fact is that you STILL REMEMBER that you were a murderous psychopath. You just have no -desire- to continue to be one!
